FAQ

How long is your turnaround time? / Is there express mastering?

Our average turnaround is usually approximately 7–10 days.

If you have an urgent request and wish to expedite the process, you can request expedited rates.

What are your payment terms?

All services require upfront payment. We accept PayPal, crypto, and bank transfers.

All prices mentioned on this website are in USD.

What is the best audio format for mastering?

.WAV file in the native sampling rate of the DAW project.

This is at least 32 bit for all current DAWs.

Can I send in tracks that have master buss effects applied?

Yes, but send both: unprocessed and processed.

Your processed version gives us a reference to your goal sound while allowing for full creative possibilities.

For the output of the unprocessed version, please remove all effects from the master channel of your DAW (not only bypass them, as not all DAWs and plugins provide true bypassing).

Using the unprocessed mix is the only way that the fine-tuned quality of compression and limiting can have its perfect sonic effect (whoever has heard the difference knows what we are referring to).

If only the processed mixdown is available, we will do our best.

Do I need ISRCs for mastering?

No.

How much headroom should I leave on my master?

6 dB of headroom is preferred.

Where do I send my files?

WeTransfer is ideal for transferring audio files.

Packing is lossless and uses a CRC32 checksum, ensuring data integrity during transfer and decompression.

Is there a reduced rate mastering service?

We are always trying to support fellow artists. Please send an email to tomazsilveira9@gmail.com for further discussion.

Can I be present for my session?

Our sessions are unattended. If you provide a good briefing and/or references it is very unlikely that the engineer will not understand the direction you are aiming for.

There is also no risk of ending up with something you don't like, as we offer all revisions for free (revisions until satisfaction). That means you can request as many amendments to the master as required in order to satisfy you.

How many revisions are included?

We offer free revisions until satisfaction. Please note that exchanging mixes after receiving the master is not included.

I've just received my master and noted some mistakes. Can I provide a new mix?

Sure. Please note though that implementing new mixes and masters is quite an effort. Thus we have to charge for it (50% of the set rate).

I am not sure if my mix is good enough for mastering. Can you help me out?

If you are unsure, feel free to send your mix for evaluation first. We can give advice on how to proceed in the best way.
